Honorable Dr. Stephanie L.W. Ganaway-Pasley is a qualified Civil Mediator. She has served on the bench as a Summary Court Judge for over 12 years.  She is an adjunct Professor of Psychology at Claflin University and Trident Technical College as well as a Special Education Teacher certified in Emotional Disability.  She is a former Business Agent with International Brotherhood of Teamsters. She has presented as a trainer/instructor for the National Business Institute, South Carolina Summary Court Judges Association, National Judges Association, Charleston County School Community Program, Waccamaw EOC, and various churches. She is the Chief Operating Officer of Pasley and Associates, providing business, mediation services to private and public sectors; with over eight years of experience addressing Leadership skills, Customer Service, Mental Health, and Interpersonal Communication Skills finding ground-breaking  solutions to shifting situations in employee relations, administration, parenting and personal relationships; including serving as Labor , License, Regulations Barrier Free Design board member;  she has been chosen for NAACP Woman of the Year and Outstanding Young Women of America; recipient of the Henry C. Thompson award.

She is a resident of Charleston, South Carolina, received a PhD in Psychology from Walden University, M.A. in Counseling with a concentration in Mental Health from, Webster University, BS, Psychology from Charleston Southern University, A.A. from Trident Technical College, Civil Mediation Training (40 hours), Counseling Military Families, EEOC Training, Interpersonal Communications Skills, Behavioral Interview (6 hours), and Documenting Discipline.

 

She is the youngest child of Mr. David S. and Mrs. Bernice P. Washington of Charleston, South Carolina. She is married to Mr. James L. Pasley, Jr. of Hemingway, South Carolina they have two children, Toccarra and Aaron. She is a member of Jeremiah United Methodist Church where she serves as a Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Instructor and Certified Lay Speaker.
